Walked around Lucca sightseeing and soaking up the charm of the place going to the opera, cafes and restaurants. Cycled around the walls on hired bikes and out into the beautiful countryside along the river. Visited Barga, San Pietro and Florence by train and bus - all very worthy of a visit.
The hotel is a wee gem

The position was good for the train station. It is a family run hotel, very friendly. The breakfast was excellent, which is not always the case in Italy. My room was comfortable and the bathroom quite spacious with a very efficient shower.A good choice.

Good-sized room with a jacuzzi bathroom. So many GREAT options for breakfast, such as cakes and pastries. Marvellous and magnificent location to get to a church and a chapel located very close to the hotel. Bars and restaurants very close to it.

Our stay during July 2011 was our one night in Lucca. The hotel was easy to find and we were pleasantly surprised at how nicely the decor presented in the entrance. The staff were wonderful and gladly entertained our attempts to speak Italian and they filled in the gaps in English very well This is the best bed we have had in 2 weeks!!! Our room was newly refurbished with a great bathroom, faltscreen tv and air-conditioning. The breakfast was very nice and our whole impression of Lucca was only made better by staying here. We walked from the train station in under 10 mins. Easy flat walk.

Short, sweet, and to the point
The warm welcome from the staff immediately set a pleasant tone. Our room was charmingly laid out with fine frescoes, and the location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of the city. Breakfast was good, with a wide selection, though I wished for more hot options. Would love to return!

The hotel is in a quiet location and close to the station. The hotels that are within the walls of Lucca are quiet compared to the hotels outside the city walls.
